The trip to Perrysburg, Ohio was so great! Golden Czermak, aka Furious Fotog, was the photographer for the dance recital, author signing, and a surprise wedding at Authors and Dancers Against Cancer, a new annual charity event that should definitely be on your calendar if you’re anywhere in the area. Since there were a bunch of us models there, we managed to arrange a shooting day with Golden. Here are some behind the scenes pics just for you, taken by my wonderful and talented friend, AJ Downey.

Sadly, the hotel is being torn down. I really hope that they donate those rails, spiral staircases, big wooden beams, lamp posts, stained glass doors, statues and so forth to Habitat for Humanity or something. It would be a horrible shame to just bulldoze those beautiful details. I’m so glad that we were able to photograph them. They’ll never be seen as they are now ever again, as the hotel is scheduled for demolition in just a couple of weeks. And so, in a way, this photo session was a kind of goodbye to this incredible place.
I was honored to be the matron of honor at the surprise wedding, which actually was no surprise to me as we’d been preparing for it for some time. The squee factor was high, and the ceremony was beautiful and moving. I’m so happy for my beloved friends. This has been a long time coming, and I hope that they have many, many years of happiness ahead of them.
